Exercise Tiger was the second-to-last large-scale preparation for the D-Day landings. These would take place on the grounds of Slapton Sands in Devon.

Exercise Fabius, in preparation for Operation Neptune and Overlord, was in its entirety the largest maritime training exercise during World War II.

287,000 men and countless armoured vehicles boarded countless ships, ready to leave for Normandy, on the day before D-day.
